<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"></head><body>Greetings, all. <div><br></div><div>With the high occurrences of hurricanes, typhoons, and related storms this year, I've been monitoring for APRS position and object reports using the /@ and \@ symbols codes worldwide, and I've been getting some errors processing them.</div><div><br></div><div>Besides the APRS 1.0.1 spec's defined storm type codes of TS (tropical storm), HC (hurricane), and TD (tropical depression), I've seeing some other codes reported.</div><div><br></div><div>I assume TY is for "typhoon".
