The vast majority of APRS packets are position reports, either long form or MicE short form. Since very few APRS clients support messaging (by their very nature, one-way trackers, digipeaters, I-gates, and dedicated weather stations will not originate text messages), there simply won't be a lot of text messages.<div><br></div><div>But they are out there. Every now and then my client program reports someone broadcasting a text message to ALL or one of the other worldwide destinations, and even more rarely spies on a two-way text message exchange.</div><div><br></div><div>Andrew Pavlin, KA2DDO </div><div>author of YAAC</div><br><br>-------- Original message --------<br>From: "Lynn W.
