Subject: Re: [aprssig] N5RJV Needs assistance

N5RJV has been heard by the following digipeaters according to raw RF received packets from various IGates:

KE4NYV-2
N3KNT-1

Not a whole lot to go on without additional ears on the ground in the area.

And it may be all for naught if the station doesn't come back on the air.

Yep, KE4NYV lives and works in that area and should have no problem finding the signal. Looking at the PHG plot of the two systems that hear it, KE4NYV-2 and N3KNT-1 sure points to very close to KE4NYV as the starting point to monitor for the
packets.

This sounds like a FUN APRS Challenge! And it will be hard. What is his TX rate? If we know hat, then we KNOW when to listen. ANd listening on RF will be very important.

Also doing a simple APRS Omni-DF-plot of all the digi's that hear him direct should nail down the area.
I just fired up my old APRS RF system and will start watching.
