Not to mention the fact that the balloon is also hearing all of that
terrestrial traffic, so the odds of a command packet getting to the
balloon is probably pretty slim. At least on the national APRS
frequency.<br>

This would appear to be abusive jamming of the APRS frequency.
One would think that there should be a requirement to
remotely control and/or shut down the transmitter in the event
of malfunction, or in this case, if you've inadvertently
launched an unattended transmitter with the wrong settings.<br>
