It is actualy not intended for APRS-IS, but for SAR organisations who use private APRS servers (like the two I have set up for this purpose in New Zealand and the Netherlands).<br>
But I will put a warning in the software regarding this, so people will not do this, and I will see if I can detect when it is an APRS-IS server or not.<br>

PS: <a href="http://aprs.fi" target="_blank">aprs.fi</a> shows AIS traffic. How does <a href="http://aprs.fi" target="_blank">aprs.fi</a> get this data? Over the APRS-IS network, or does it get a private feed from AIS users??<br>
