For instance, it's -1 degree f in Minnesota now. You're right that it gets frosty below 32 (note Dimse was careful to say no dew below 32, not no dew point.) but frost point is a little different from dew point because of heat of (reverse) sublimation. Anyway, dew point is a useful plot at any temperature. If you only had to have one plot of moisture, I'd prefer DP to RH.]

I DO like the wind chill numbers, although I believe there is MUCH
more to the "feel" than simply wind and temperature. I find that
humidity and air density also have a bearing.

[That's the problem with wind chill: it's subjective and there is MUCH more to feel than temp & wind. I may feel chillier than you...]

(I am not a meteorologist)
[Don't let that stop you :-) ]

Thank you Steve. I love the new panel.

[ It's a nice display, and despite all my comments, I don't have a strong preference on how it's presented. You don't have to watch any particular plot, after all. I do wonder who or what it's intended for. I do love my little remote Radio Shack receiver on my desk which is similar to Dimse's panel. But if you tie up a pc/smartphone/tablet screen with the panel display, you might as well show the full findu page which shows the history, too. I could be wrong of course and people will prefer the panel to the 'classic' findu. Will be interesting to find out.]

My wish list would move the time parameter to all the weather graphs
so I could display "local" time instead of UTC.

[Good news. You can. see one of the earlier messages on this. There is a new cgi for it.]

[ Off to watch the Super Bowl]

Bob Kirk
NeOZB
