Hi Steve,

Yes, 802.11n is defined for both bands, but one does not need to
implement it on both. Being a B/G/N device (omitting A), I conclude
it is on 2.4 ghz only. Likewise, 802.11n is defined for multiple
spacial streams, but with a 150mbit rate, I can deduce that this is
a single stream device (not a surprise given its physical size). So
for a small, very local network or mesh of devices (say, within an
EOC or small Field Day site), it could be a pretty effective upgrade
to a semi-clunker laptop (Windows XP-era) that came with the 802.11b
wireless, if only to spare the rest of the network from
bandwidth-consuming 802.11b packets.

Just don't expect full 802.11n performance or distance. It's not
going to happen with this device.
That's a good price. Now if only we could get something
similar that
works in the 5 Ghz band to get away from the traffic on
2.4 Ghz.
(Even better would be 3.5 Ghz, 900 Mhz or 430 Mhz but
that's another
