Since when? A change was made 2 or 3 days ago in the weather
alert processing to allow it to connect to the upstream feed.
I've been seeing weather alerts on my Xastir instances connected
to Firenet just fine since then.

That sounds about like the right time frame. Unless there has
suddenly been an outbreak of perfect weather across the entire
country, the number of yellow, orange and red shape file overlays on
my continental US map at:
has been steadily dropping the last two days or so, as existing
alerts and warnings time out.
I first really noticed it when I was testing a new UIview/UI-NWS
setup installed for the first time on a Win7-64 computer two days
ago. It was setup just as it was on my numerous WinXP boxes, but
nothing ever appeared. At first I thought it was Win7 compatibility
issues with the legacy 32-bit UInws software. [Uiview itself and the
Precision Mapping Server 9 plugin work perfectly on Win7-64.] Then I
noticed overlays were also not updating, and steadily disappearing,
on the Win XP machines as well.
Firenet is up except for a few minutes here and there when Pete
releases a new version of the server software and Gerry updates
it. My firenet scripts have been injecting objects into Firenet
without error. I've been doing the same updates on Firenet-2 and
Firenet-3 servers every few days.

Didn't realize there are now alternate Firenet servers. I'll add
them to my server list.
