<span style>The 2012 Great Plains Super Launch will be held in Omaha on June 7-10. The GPSL is an annual gathering of amateur radio high-altitude ballooning (ARHAB) enthusiasts from around the US, which culminates in a group launch of APRS-equipped balloons on Saturday the 9th. <br></div><div style>Thursday afternoon: Tour of the Strategic Air and Space Museum near Ashland, NE. Early arrivals dinner that evening.</div><div style><br></div><div style>Friday: Conference at Arbor Hall in west Omaha (14040 Arbor St, Omaha, NE). Doors open at 8am for registration and breakfast. Conference fee is $50 which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For those interested in breakfast and lunch only, the fee is $30. Discussion of the technology behind ARHAB and its use in science/engineering education will be featured along with lots of still photos and video taken from on-board cameras.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>Saturday: Mass balloon launch beginning about 0730 CDT (1230 UTC). Primary launch site is the Strategic Air and Space Museum parking lot near Ashland, but alternate sites may be used if the predicted landing area is unsuitable. APRS payloads will use 144.39 and 144.34 MHz with both frequencies locally I-gated.</div>
