In my UHF example I show it as '+500'. It probably requires a leading space and if something follows it perhaps a trailing space. Please look at the original posting for the details of UHF and VHF offsets. While
it is not required for VHF, if included it must include a leading 0 for the current D710A firmware to process properly as I determined experimentally.</span></div><div><br><span></span></div><div><span>I will admit I am surprised by the reaction to my trying to avoid what I would consider 'unnecessary' clutter to APRS-IS through the addition of NOGATE to the packet, at a cost of 7 bytes. There is no value in keeping 2 out of 3 of them<br>off the IS. Since the penalty for doing that is making everyone of the<br>local packets 7 bytes longer on RF because of the NOGATE path.
