</head><BODY BGCOLOR="#F8F8F8" ><div><SPAN style="font-size:11pt;">When I built my cabin 6 or 7 years ago, I had an I.C.E. Model 330 installed on it's own circuit breaker. (Instructions indicate that the unit virtually always shorts on failure.) It is only anecdotal, but nothing seems to have come through into the house at this point. I still have surge suppressors and UPS's on everything of value in the house, however. I chose the I.C.E. for cost effectiveness and prior experience with their inline noise suppressors. I have not noticed any line noise on the mains, either.</SPAN></div>

<div><SPAN style="font-size:11pt;">We have very severe thunderstorms here during the monsoon season. I sit and watch strikes all around my house within a few hundred feet. I am sure some substantial impulses have tried to come in through my panel.</SPAN></div>
