I don't think that is a bug... It is simply Life. The radio
can only remember what it knows. When it is in packet mode, it
is simply passing data of which it has no involvement. When in
APRS mode, it remembers its last position. This is what one
would expect.

YES. On startup it should first attempt to read from a live GPS on
the GPS port, for a current position, instead of regurgitating a
cached one that could be hours or days old. What's weird about
this bug is that the GPS indicator is flashing, indicating that the
radio has detected a live GPS, even as it is sending obsolete,
cached data. <br>
