</div>Because that is just one symptom of the problem. The problem is that if no one is even interested enough in APRS in an area to push a HFEST object, then that means local meetings, events and ham activites are also being ignored.<br>

THAT is the problem, that no one in an area is investing in INFO Serving the local area...<br>

</div>ANother way to push this issue, might be to query the ARRL Hamfest calendar, then have a script to search APRS-IS for the HFEST objet and if missing, find the nearest 10 APRS (2-way) stations and then send them an automated message asking them why the hell they aren't putting out the local hamfest object...<br>

It could also query QRZ or whatever to send them an Email too!<br>
