If so, all that does is disable the car's alarm system or immobilizer. The chip by itself does not start the car, does not turn the ignition switch to the Start or Run position, and does not disengage the steering and transmission interlock. Even with the car's electronic security disabled, you still need a physical key that is cut for the car's ignition lock cylinder.<br>
