LAUNCH: The transaltlantic APRS balloon attempt (PBH10) will use the callsign of KC2TUA-10 with an anticipated launch window 8-11 PM EDT wednesday evening 29 April. It is unfortunate that there may be some 1-packet-per-minute QRM to four VHF voice repeaters along the way that operate on 145.41 with an input of 144.81. But the balloon operators are attempting to contact the repeater groups to give them advance notice in these areas:
Vernon Connecticut
Hudson Falls New York
Prattsburg New York
Philadelphia Pennsylvania
APRS operators in those areas are asked to also monitor those voice repeaters and if any interference is noted, to be prepared to announce the mission in progress and that the QRM should go away in a short time.
