<P>I am cheif at a PEP (Primary Entry Point) station here in Boston. We have FEMA orders to be able to run self sustained for 30+ days (DAZE) ... With my current configuration I think l I could run up to 40 days with a full fuel tank. I have heard grumblings of pushing that to 60 days. Guess they figure they are going to have a crew here to keep the generator up for that long. ANYWAY... I am planning on putting up an IGate over there at the transmitter site (notrhing fancy, just low profile) on one of our microwave dish towers so if all goes well and there isn't any major factors we should be able to support some traffic all depending we still have internet (possible sattelite if need be.) for an exteneded period. That being said, people in the different areas of the country should look into the PEP stations in their areas and see if they might be condusive to doing the same. More than likely they are also being run by hams.</P>
