It would be nice if it did. As long as the main radio body had one
also.
Which of course the main body does but again the Head does not.

If the TNC is in the control head, and the 710 supports the same kind of
"packet mode" operation as the 700 with an external computer/terminal,
then there must be some way TNC data is getting to the main
chassis where the serial port connector is located.
<BR><BR><BR>Is it interleaved in the data stream carrying radio control
functions (volume, squelch, channel,etc.) from the head to the main chassis?
<BR>| <BR><BR>Or perhaps separate TTL-level signals in other conductors
of the head-to-radio cable with conversion to true RS-232 levels inside the
