Thanks. I'm thinking that there must be something wrong with this board (it has sat in a box for a long time)...

Next question: Anyone have step-by-step instructions for turning a KPC-3+ into a modern-paradigm APRS tracker? I haven't programmed this thing in years and haven't a clue where to start. I want it to function as a dumb tracker (no listening).

I can't remember the details (as they say I've slept since then) but
the cable was straightforward - just populate the board with all the
parts provided then tie the appropriate pin directly to the mic input
on the radio. This is for the Alinco, Yaesu, and Icom radios we've
flown.

I think I ignorantly added an external resistor and capacitor to one
rig (copied the KPC-3 cable) and it worked fine, but I removed them
and it still worked fine. In fact, it flew yesterday.

-Jason
kg4wsv

_______________________________________________
aprssig mailing list
aprssig@lists.tapr.org
