Hi,
I have a yellow Garmin eTrex connected to TM-D700 and TH-D7 and I can
see other positions in display but a friend has the same model and he
can't see other positions. I think it can be a firmware problem...

The oldest, cheapest Garmin eTrex unit (the yellow one, the one that's just
called "eTrex" with no extra name like "Legend" "Venture" or "Vista") is
similarly unable to accept GPWPL sentences. The other versions of the eTrex
can accept the GPWPL sentences, though.

That the D7 and D700 use to send positions to the GPS for
display?
