mode (PGRMV) and Garmin mode. First, does anyone know how accurate these
speeds are? I suspect they're goint to give more accurate results than
computing the difference between two altitude readings,

position? I'm thinking of adding this to at least my new tracker design,
and maybe to the current OpenTracker if there's room. I suspect
feet/minute will be the most useful measure for the largest number of people -
if I remember right, even outside the US aircraft report altitudes in feet, and
presumably rate-of-climb in feet/minute as well. As for the actual format,
I'll probably go with something like '-1200 FPM' - or for better
parseability and consistency, maybe something like
'/V=-1200'.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
