Interesting thing...When I started with computers in the late 60's it

car mechanics and machine shop guys that were cross training into the
field...<br>
It wasn't until the late 80's that Windows made it possible for the

PhD of the street to operate one and instal excessories etc...<br>

You don't need a PhD in Computer Science to run UNIX; just buy a Mac
and run OS X.
FWIW, Installing Xastir on my PowerBook (via Darwin Ports) was a snap
and it works great. I for one think the Xastir folks have done an
excellent job and greatly appreciate their work.
