size=2>Not quite. In PKT mode I get a proprietary sentence peculiar to the D700.
I lost what the sentence begins with, but if you really needed it I'm sure the
format is documented somewhere or easy to figure out. It's not an actual GPS
sentence, but a position report generated by the D700, so if you had the D700
set up to a fixed position, that's what would come out.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

and WinPack running on the PC so I can see everything coming in. The D700's
APRS settings are set for NMEA in & out (so in APRS mode it sends the
waypoints), and my eMap is plugged into the GPS port and has a sat lock. I
first tested in TNC APRS mode and made sure it all worked, then switched to
TNC PKT mode.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
