May it it is time to start an APRS sub-standard for telemetry packets.
All telemetry packets are ID'd with the Destination Address, followed by
whatever data the developer wants to put in.
Via the APRS foundation this is then documented.
It is then up to the various APRS software developers if they want to
make their program compatible with that specific telemetry packet.
This resolves all kinds of backwards compatibility issues.
As there seems to be no public information on the various telemetry
packets used, my own program is currently ignoring any packets starting
with a "T".
I forwarded this to the APRS foundation list, because I think it belongs
there.
