[aprssig] Departing the Foundation

Hello all!

I wanted to take a moment to write to you to let you know some news that
may take you by surprise.

I’ve decided to step down from my role as President of APRS Foundation. I
tendered my resignation earlier this week.

I did a lot of soul searching and realized I was long past due to ensure my
priorities were aligned with where I am today and where I want to be in the
future.

My family and my career are the most important - bar none. I have an
extremely demanding job that does not leave much spare time. I do not get
to spend nearly as much time with my family as I would like, not to
mention, I have little to no time for self care and reflection.

It was not an easy decision. I would hope you have been able to tell how
passionate I am about APRS and ham radio in general. But this decision
could not be prolonged.

I cannot speak to what the plans are after my departure. That I leave to my
esteemed former colleagues to let you know of the future plans.
