On 22 July 2025, I will be departing from central Michigan for the annual trek
to Evergreen, Colorado for the Evergreen Jazz Festival on 25-27 July.     I
will be beaconing on either 30 meters APRS-over-VARA (daytime) or 40 meters
APRS-over-VARA (nighttime).

As in past years, I will be using my Panasonic CF-53 Toughbook laptop, Yaesu
FT-891 transceiver and Quicksilver "QuickStick" hamstick-type mobile whips.

This year, however, I will not be alternately beaconing on conventional
300-baud AX.25 packet.
1)   VARA has proven itself to be so overwhelmingly superior to classic HF
packet that I am not bothering with 300-baud AX.25 at all.
2)   The uptake of APRS-over-VARA is now extensive enough that a full-time
network of  APRS-over-VARA  igates now exists covering all of North America.

Details on using APRS-over-VARA are on my website at
<http://WA8LMF.net/VARA/APRSoverVARA/index.htm>

My usual APRS mapping webservers are at
<http://WA8LMF.net/map>

An additional dedicated roadtrip tracker page is at
<http://wa8lmf.net/RoadTrip/Tracker/index.htm>

As in past years:

*WA8LMF* (no SSID) is two-meter FM AX.25 packet, or direct to Internet beacons.
*WA8LMF-3* is 30 or 40 meter APRS-over-VARA
