One component of APRS is the AX.25 stack as its transport. ARDC has
already funded work to modernize and fix bugs for the Linux kernel version
of AX.25. See
https://www.ampr.org/grants/grant-fixing-the-linux-kernel-ax-25/

ARDC is in a position to help with funding for a well organized and managed
project to update, modernize, and document an Open Source implementation.
Put something together and apply <https://www.ampr.org/apply/>.

I knew Bob was battling this cancer and send my condolences to his family,
friends, and the benefactors of his work.

Contact me at john.hays at ardc.net if you have any questions about grant
funding from ARDC.

If you are going to be at Hamcation this week, drop by and say hello at
Booth 186 (North Hall). I will be giving an ARDC overview Friday, February
11, at 3:15 pm EST in CS II.
