I doubt it.  9v “transistor” batteries are designed for very low current loads, and if you manage to suck 600mA out of it (you won’t) you will seriously shorten the service life.

If you want 9V, use three CR123As.

Or just use lithium AAs. less mass and more energy density vs. alkaline AAs (or any other common chemistry for that matter).
