The other end has to be running another copy of the JS8Call program, with the
waterfall cursor set to the same audio frequency as you.

Further, it has to have the APRS-IS "reporting" option checked on the
"Settings, Reporting" dialog.

I've just added the JS8CALL app to my "APRS SuperServer" setup that monitors &
igates 2 meters, 30 meters and 60 meters.

I have added the JS8 app to the 60-meter setup, alongside the traditional AX.25
packet. It's listening to the same FT-857 as the AX.25 mode.

Select 60-meters "Channel 5" (5.403.5 MHz USB) and the CENTER of the JS8
waterfall cursor to 1400 Hz. Note this is the CENTER of the waterfall cursor,
not the left side.

I'm not certain what time of day 60M propagation will be most favorable between
you and and me. Im located in central Michigan (East Lansing area).

I tend to hear central Atlantic states best in the mid to late afternoon, and
stations from the mid-west (OH, IN, IL, IA, WI) in the late afternoon to early
evening.
