YeahBut - I claim the patent. I have three vehicles with a D700 in each and have been digipeating my D72 for years to take advantage of the proportional path, etc. Better than budgeting for a new D710G frech. I am using Nuvi 350s and wish I could find a newer GPS for updated maps, however. Does anyone have any ideas how to update the old Nuvi with small, local area maps?

Lazy way to add Objects to the APRS mobile....
TO add APRS to my old car, I simply installed an old D700 (without all the
fuss of an external GPS).
Then when I go on trips, I just place the new TH-D74 on the dash and set
it to low power to digi via the D700.
Has the advantage that the D74 can send OBJECTS about anything I see along
the way.
