Please note that the object amd item packets include a COMMENT text field. 
As per APRS101.PDF.

Not a STATUS.

Status reports are sent separately and have a completely different packet 
format. Status reports can not be sent for items/objects as they do not 
embed the object/item name, they just have a source callsign to identify 
the source.

Non-object/item stations can have both a COMMENT (in the position packet) 
and a STATUS report (in the status packet).

Just to clarify terminology and reduce confusion a bit.
