8 Channel GPS marine receivers prices dropped to $400 in 1994.

I bought winAPRS from the SPROUL brothers in about 1996 for $50 for lifetime support... The lifetime seems to have died in about 2005.

Thank you again Bob for your vison and efforts over all these years.

Ah ha!  Thanks for remembering.  I guess the 1993 date was the first use of APRS during the Marine Corps Marathon.
