[aprssig] APRS in Houston

ARES is not deployed.  In fact the ARRL has issued "shelter in place" communication.
I am interested in what role (if any) amateur radio is taking in this (pre-recovery) phase.  The ARRL website is the only source of info at this point.

Is there anyone in-theater, on the APRS list who would be interested/available to engage in a more detailed update (even if it is direct, rather than on-list)?

About 8” for the last 24 hours on most of them. I can also see a quadrant of Houston with zero APRS symbols around Cloverdale.  Probably a big outage.Hummh..  I wonder if anyone is on battery and is transmitting the Emergency OPower overlay to make it more obvious? I also see three first responders driving all over the map:KB5KSS-9, WB5TAD-9 and FM369-I using an Iphone. Bob, WB4aPR_______________________________________________
