The openspot folks ( https://www.sharkrf.com/products/openspot/ )
don't think there is any need for 'data' on their $200 device. With
the cc1101 chip we should be able to do high speed data on UHF for
less than $30 for the radio module plus extras for case, filter and
power supply.
