These tiny radios with super wideband receive modes are a pain in urban areas. 
Without enough physical space for significant front end bandpass filters for 
various parts of the spectrum, the front ends are wide-open from "DC to light". 
  They overload and intermodulate massively if you have any other radio 
activity on virtually any frequency within several miles of you.
