Clients (includes IGates) never use qAS, ever. The q algorithm and support documentation is found at http://www.aprs-is.net/q.aspx Take note of the Client Generated section. If you are writing an IGate, you should use qAR if your IGate is bidirectional and qAO if it is receive-only. Also, be sure to look at http://www.aprs-is.net/IGating.aspx http://www.aprs-is.net/IGateDetails.aspx and http://www.aprs-is.net/Connecting.aspx Have fun! > -----Original Message----- > From: Nagi Punyamurthula > Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2016 10:32 AM > Subject: [aprssig] qAR vs qAS gating > > Hi all - qq > From reading thru the APRS docs and following a few insights therein, my > understanding is that the right way to gate a 3rd party station is via qAR.
