Wanted to share this below – similar goal

boxes like these can be easily replicated by any one at a reasonable cost – and can be deoployed either for one-off events such as these or for a longer term site locations such as water towers, parks, hill stations, etc.

I'm not sure how many people are going to pay $350 for a TNC for one
mode compared to using basic 300 baud with a sound card or other similar
interface.
