Thanks Charles and Ray!What are the rules elsewhere in the EU or Africa or Asia?
Is automatic control and/or unattended operation allowed in your country?

Packet radio (includes aprs) is permitted in Australia for Advanced and Standard grade licencees. The relevant regulations can be found here

 Unattended operation is permitted.

In the USA, APRS operates as an "Automatically Controlled Digital Station" under FCC Part 97.221.  It allows for unattended operation.
I am curious about APRS operations outside of the USA in this regard.
How does this play in IARU Region 1 and Region 3 countries?
What countries require special permit to operate unattended?
What countries allow such operation without special permit?
  Kind regards, Ev, W2EV
