In the USA, APRS operates as an "Automatically Controlled Digital Station" under FCC Part 97.221.  It allows for unattended operation.

 

I am curious about APRS operations outside of the USA in this regard.

 

How does this play in IARU Region 1 and Region 3 countries?

 

What countries require special permit to operate unattended?

 

What countries allow such operation without special permit?
