[aprssig] ARISS igated location anomaly/discrepancy

The issue is that the gating station is incorrectly reporting the beaconing station’s symbol and coords. In this scenario, the N0AGI-1’s symbol is supposed to be the satellite icon, and the coordinates are in the Minnesota region. However, the symbol is incorrectly reported as the “No System” icon and the coords are incorrectly pointing to a location in Canada.

This below email is a follow up to the thread for John’s attention who has been graciously looking into resolving this issue by working w/ the UISS s/w team the last few days

Hope this helps set the context to this thread.

Can somone enlighten me on this thread?. I don’t see any problems below. That is normal behavior for the TT4 digipeater on PSAT.

The ARISS* shows that was the alias used and that digipeated it, and PSAT inserted its callsign before the ALIAS.

Good afternoon

After a few days and passes of satellite NO-84 and the ISS I have had no reports of bad packets being gated so I'll have to assume the problem has been resolved. But if I can ask for continued observations in the future as UISS has come out with a new version and I will be downloading it in the near future and I will probably try Satgate version 2.0 again. So I would appreciate a heads up if anyone should see any problems in the future.
