Although, I did not answer your earlier question. This should actually read, “Technician Plus” (and not Professional). It’s a bug. I will fix it

Thanks for finding it Jeff – appreciated it.

Hi Jeff
I just tried your call and this is what I see(below) : “Previous Class” as professional

Very nice. One question: When I run query on my own callsign, the "Prev. Class" comes back as "Professional". What does that mean?

Hello all –
I just published new simple, no-nonsense, free, call-sign lookup service: Here’s how to get to it and use it.

Examples :

1. http://call.n0agi.com/?c=N0AGI

provides a line formatted output of lookup data. Simply call the url w/ “?c=” followed by call sign in question

2. http://call.n0agi.com/?c=N0AGI&f=0

the “&f=0” format param offers a one line, pipe separated detail. It spits out a header by default.

Some details behind the scenes:

a. Web service/page and the guts behind this service is hosted on RASPI Debian as a web farm infrastructure. Currently, albeit, there’s just one RASPI holding the fort :)

b. Uses nginx and php5 for web ops

c. Uses crontab to run job services

d. Uses grep/awk to parse data and provision output

e. FCC data is pulled daily overnight into the web farm

f. Data is currently for US/Americas only. Plans are to expand to other zones soon

g. Other formats in the play to come soon. XML, JSON

I hope this will be useful to all and kindly drop me a note on your feedback, ideas, etc. or if you run into any problems accessing it

Thanks all
