[aprssig] D710G external Progrmming Volunter?

If he didn't want to have the programming change I would wonder if it
might be worth investigating possible surgery on the radio itself to
enable write protection on the flash chip.  Put a switch on the write
enable pin so it can be reprogrammed then flip the switch so it can't be
changed.
