[aprssig] ISS digi

I hope they turn it back on soon -- I'm well away from my usual QTH, but have packed the Kenwood TH-D72 and Arrow II antenna. I got an excellent visual pass this evening, but hope they turn the radio back on in the next 24 hours or so, or I'll miss my chance.

I'm a bit baffled -- did I actually work VE1VZ directly? According to aprs.fi, that's 147.9 miles. But when I look at line-of-sight formulas based around height and earth's curvature ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line-of-sight_propagation ), I work out something like distance in miles = 1.41 x square root (of 1500 feet), or around 54 miles. How'd I work a station 147 miles away across the Bay of Fundy on 2m?
