Hi Tom,
At the moment we use plaintext passcode. Apple requires apps using any
encryption to go through the export certificate process with the US so it
makes adding any sort of noticable SSL difficult and borderline not worth
doing. App makers often don't press the check mark for encrypted apps when
submitting to apple even when they actually do use SSL and get away with it
but having an active place to set an SSL cert would trigger red flags and
force an export cert.
