Subject: [aprssig] New Version of UZ7HO Soundmodem Software TNC Released

UZ7HO released version 0.69 of his AGW-compatible software TNC application
today ( 29 November 2014).

The new version has TWO separate TCP/IP server ports. One serves up the
traditional AGWpe interface. The other now provides a standard KISS
interface.

Note however, that this is delivered over TCP/IP (not a virtual serial COM
port). You will still have to kludge up some sort of
TCP/IP<-->virtual-COM-port middleware to use this with apps that expect a
classic KISS-interface serial TNC.

Another added convenience is that the IP port numbers for both servers are
now
configurable from inside the application, rather than by having to hand-edit

the .INI file.

As usual, I have repacked the "dumb" zip file UZ7HO provides on his website
into a full-blown Windows "wizard"-type installer that creates the
directory,
Start Menu entries and desktop shortcuts, along with a user guide.
