The 7 segment displays were used because it was the only or 
cheapest "font" available. Designed only for numeric display but 
improvised into limited alpha. I always hated trying to set up 
controllers using 7 segment alpha characters. 

Something like Consolas Bold or Terminal would be better.

Just my opinion.
