KC9PON-2 was launched from the Minooka, Illinois, area (southwest of Joliet) around 1pm EDT. It's beaconing every 30 seconds with a WIDE1-1, WIDE2-1 path. It peaked at around 40,000 feet and seems to dropping pretty fast now. While it had some altitude, it was being heard by digipeaters in the Indianapolis area. Sheesh! Bob...
