Question for the sig:

Related to TACTICAL definition APRS messages as described at:

http://www.xastir.org/wiki/Search_and_Rescue,_%28SAR%29#Tactical_Callsigns

Are these intended to go out periodically or only on the request of the 
issuing station?

Seems to me like it should be the latter (on demand), but I want to make 
certain before implementing something stupid.
