Thirty meters really got knocked out yesterday with a total fadeout (at least
at this QTH in central Michigan) yesterday. The NOAA Spaceweather Center
solar x-ray flux graph on my UI-Webserver entry page tells the story.

(Thirty meters is EXTREMELY sensitive to the solar X-Ray flux, and fades
rapidly when the flux spikes upwards. Since this is coming from the sun, the
daylight side of the earth at the time of the flare is far more affected than
the dark side. Note that the dates and times on the graph are UTC)
