[aprssig] D7A Digipeat?

Does the Kenwood D7A digipeat?

I couldn't find any references or program switches to indicate that it does,
so I'm thinking "no".

I was looking for an easy way to make a temporary, back-country APRS
digipeater (for Search and Rescue missions). Other alternatives I could
think of were an old D700 or a TNC-old HT combo. Other suggestions welcome.
