I've had so many inquiries about the tracker board I used on my balloon
flight this week that I've decided to offer a beta version for sale.
It'll be after Christmas before I can get the first batch built, and I'm
not making any promises that the on-board accelerometer or barometric
pressure sensor will be operating, but it worked great as a low-cost,
lightweight tracker.

The test flight had deliberately very low lift and it drifted around for
about two hours before it finally froze after sunset. A fast-rising
balloon in daylight would probably be fine, but I'd still recommend more
than the 1/2 inch foam that we used for insulation.
Our receive station was a TH-D7A handheld with an Arrow beam and it
worked beautifully.
I'm putting this version out there for a limited time. If there's
enough interest, I'll develop it into a more polished product. Once I
get the T3-9670's receive code tuned and working at full sensitivity it
should make a good, compact ground station - but for now you'll need to
supply your own 440 MHz, 9600 baud receiver.
73,
Scott
